私はいつも、過程と結果を美化してしまい、現実によって打ち砕かれるのを待ち、そしてまた別の景色に出会い、全く異なる驚きや衝撃を味わいます。 絵を描く時も同じで、心の中で美しいと思う形をまず描き、それから破壊の状態に入り、何層もの上塗りや破壊を繰り返して、これで良いと思えるまで続けます。 破壊を経験した残骸のような画面が生まれるのですが、それが美しいかどうかは別として、私にとってはそれが求める時間感覚であり、生命感覚なのです。 I often idealize process and outcome, only to be shattered by reality and led into another landscape.
